The Department of Cellular Pathology provides a comprehensive diagnostic service for patients receiving treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses at the Royal Surrey County Hospital/ RSCH (incorporating St. Luke’s Cancer Centre).

The Pathology Team consists of 8 consultants in Histopathology, 1 specialty doctor, 6 deanery registrars, one overseas trainee through MTI program, a group of highly skilled biomedical scientists (BMS) and medical laboratory assistants (MLA) and associated administrative staff/ secretaries. The Specialty Lead/ Head of Department is Dr Izhar Bagwan (Consultant Histopathologist).
